Stacey Bradford Betz is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University. During college, she worked as a Lifeguard and taught swimming and canoeing lessons at Camp Whispering Pines Girl Scout Camp. After graduation, she worked as a manager for Albertsons for 3 years before becoming a stay at home mother. Mrs. Betz began working for East Baton Rouge Parish School System as a Substitute teacher in 1996 until 2001. Mrs. Betz began as Extended Care Director for St. Patrick’s Episcopal in 2001 and became Head of School in 2003. Mrs. Betz opened Early Steps CDC in January 2009 and remained Director until March 2011. Mrs. Betz received her Childcare Management Diploma in 2010 and was rated a Level II Director according to Louisiana Pathways Certification. Mrs. Betz has consulted on the opening of 3 childcare centers: The Early Learning Center of Livingston, Learning World of Denham Springs, and Early Steps CDC of Zachary.
Stacey lives in Zachary with her husband of 22 years, Chris and her two children Danielle, 21 and Kyle 18. Chris and Stacey are members of Grace Episcopal Church in St. Francisville. Stacey has been an active member of the Episcopal Church in Shreveport, Lafayette and Zachary serving as Sunday school teacher, vacation bible school director, alter guild, lay eucuristic minister, lay reader, Christian Education Director and Head of School.
Danielle’s childhood was spent in Zachary, and graduated from Zachary High School in 2008. She worked at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School from 2005-2008, during that time she worked with the Elementary program and helped organize Summer Camp in 2008. Ms. Betz worked as a nanny for a special needs child from 2008-2009, before starting work with Early Steps CDC.
During her time at Early Steps CDC from 2009-2011, she worked with Elementary and Infants. She was then promoted in 2011 as the Administrative Assistant for Early Steps CDC. She is in her junior year at Southeastern University, studying Social Studies Education.
